Republic Day is a public holiday in India, when the country marks and celebrates the date on which the Constitution of India came into effect on 26 January 1950, replacing the Government of India Act 1935 as the governing document of India and thus, turning the nation into a newly formed republic. We, the students of SVMCTE, Vendar decided to conduct the republic day celebration on 26/1/2022 at 10 a. m. via google meet platform. Presidential address was given by our principal Dr. Lalamani miss. Chief guest of the programme was prof. Dr. Nanthyath Gopalakrishnan(Principal Pazhassi Raja NSS college, Kannur), who inaugurated the programme. Then he gave a speech on the importance of Republic day. There were felicitation speech by our teachers and students. After the vote of thanks, a cultural programme was conducted by first year students. There were power point presentation, patriotic song, drawings and group dance as part of the programme.
